Alcove keeps each book's series and position, reads them from your files on import, and lets you filter and sort by series — so you can see which volumes you own and which you've read.
Drag in EPUB, PDF, MOBI or AZW3 files, pick them from iCloud Drive, or import a whole Calibre library on the Mac. If a book is DRM-free, Alcove doesn't care where it came from.
Edit titles, authors, publishers and series. Look up missing metadata and choose cover art from Open Library and Apple Books. Rate books and track what you've read. Edits save as you make them — no forms, no save buttons.
Your library syncs between Mac and iPad through your own iCloud account. Start browsing on your Mac, pick up on iPad. Books, covers, ratings, tags and reading status follow you. Sync is per library and can be turned off.
Alcove is in early development. A small, invite-only Alpha is running on TestFlight for Mac and iPad — rough edges included, and no built-in reader yet. A Beta comes later. Request early access to try it before launch, report bugs, and influence what gets built next.
